Accessibility
Last updated: August 2026
NeuralSoft Systems LLC wants Send to Remarkable to be usable by everyone, including people who browse with a screen reader, a keyboard alone, magnification, or reduced motion enabled. This page describes what we work to, what we have done, where we know we fall short, and how to tell us about a problem.
The standard we work to
We build and test against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, published by the World Wide Web Consortium. WCAG 2.1 AA is the benchmark most widely referenced in the United States for public websites, and it is the target we hold ourselves to.
We have not commissioned an independent accessibility audit, and we do not claim certification by any third party. We say that plainly rather than implying an approval nobody has given.
What we have done
- Every page begins with a “Skip to content” link, so a keyboard or screen reader user can bypass the navigation rather than tabbing through it on every page.
- Pages use real landmarks and a single, ordered heading structure, so a screen reader can navigate by region and by heading instead of reading top to bottom.
- Every form control has a programmatically associated label, and controls that show only an icon carry an accessible name.
- The service is operable by keyboard alone. Interactive elements are reachable in a sensible order and show a visible focus indicator when reached by keyboard.
- Text and interface colors are chosen against the WCAG AA contrast thresholds, and we do not use color as the only way of conveying a status — a delivery that failed says so in words as well as in color.
- Animation is disabled automatically for anyone whose system asks for reduced motion.
- The service itself works entirely by email. There is nothing to install, and a document can be sent from whatever mail client you already use and have already configured to your needs.
Where we know we fall short
Parts of the experience are provided by third parties and are not ours to change. Account creation and sign-in are handled by our authentication provider, payment is handled by our payment processor, and the tablet itself and its software are made by reMarkable AS. We choose vendors who publish their own accessibility documentation, but we cannot warrant their conformance, and a barrier inside one of those screens may take longer to resolve because the fix is not in our hands.
Accessibility is not a state a website reaches and then keeps. Pages change, and a change can introduce a barrier that was not there last month. We treat a reported barrier as a defect in the service, not as a request for special treatment.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this website or service is difficult or impossible for you to use, please tell us. Describe the page and what happened, and include the assistive technology and browser you were using if you know them — it helps us reproduce the problem, but it is not required, and a plain description in your own words is welcome.
Email support@sendtoremarkable.com or use our contact form. We aim to acknowledge every report within five business days and to tell you what we intend to do about it, including a timeframe where we can give one. If a fix will take time, we will try to offer another way to accomplish what you were doing.
