About the service

Is this made by reMarkable?

No. Send to Remarkable is an independent, third-party service built by developers who use reMarkable tablets themselves. It is not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by reMarkable AS, and we have no special relationship with them beyond using the same cloud sync that their own official apps use.

What exactly does it do?

You get one dedicated email address. Send a PDF (or a Word document, on the Plus plan) to that address — either by forwarding an email you received, or sending one directly — and it appears in your reMarkable Cloud account automatically, in whichever folder you've configured.

Do I need to install anything?

No. There's no app, no browser extension, no desktop client. It works over plain email, from any device that can send one.

Setup and compatibility

How do I connect my reMarkable account?

After signing up, you'll get an 8-character one-time code from reMarkable's own device-connect page (the same flow reMarkable's official desktop and mobile apps use). Enter it once during setup — after that, you're paired.

What file types are supported?

PDF is supported on every plan. Word documents (.doc and .docx) are automatically converted to PDF on the Plus plan.

Can other people send to my address?

Your forwarding address is private to your account, but anyone who knows it can send to it — the same way anyone who knows your regular email address can email you. Don't publish it publicly, and treat it like any other personal inbox.

What happens if I send something that isn't a PDF or Word doc?

It's ignored. Unsupported attachments are not delivered to your tablet and don't count against your monthly limit.

Your documents and data

Do you read or scan the contents of what I send?

No. Documents are processed only to the extent needed to convert and deliver them — nothing is read, indexed, or analyzed for any other purpose. Details are in the privacy policy.

How is my reMarkable account access stored?

The credentials used to push documents into your reMarkable account are encrypted at rest. They are never stored or logged in plain text.

Can I delete my documents or my account?

Yes. You can delete your account at any time from your dashboard, which removes your forwarding address, delivery history, and stored reMarkable pairing.

Billing

Is the free plan actually free, or a trial?

It's free indefinitely — 10 documents a month, PDF only, for as long as you want to use it. No credit card required to sign up.

What happens if I hit my monthly limit on the free plan?

Further documents that month won't be delivered until your limit resets, or you upgrade to Plus for unlimited sends.

Can I cancel Plus anytime?

Yes, from your billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period — you keep Plus features until then, and you're not charged again after that.
